Forest Tryout 2 by Torqual3D Forest Tryout 2 by Torqual3D
Improved attempt.  Combines Deep Shadow Map and Raytrace layers.  The Raytrace was a 19 hour render, so I may not do that again.

I love environments I would enjoy camping in. When I read a book, watch a movie or play a video game, tranquil ambiance in a certain locale catches my undivided attention. This is one of those environments: simple, natural, comfortable, peaceful and beautiful.

Aw thanks!  I was hoping to host a non-tranquil scary adventure in it, but maybe it doesn't seem a threatening enough environment after all!

Safe places are not so safe when dangerous people are lurking within them. Safe places become even more dangerous when they lower your anxiety.

You don't believe in taking short cuts or taking the easy option but the results speak for themselves.  Bravo!

Thanks... due to the lack of characters this is just in Scraps!

I'm impressed! I like the detail, especially the elements of light and shadow. It looks appropriately shaded in the right places. I wouldn't mind spending an afternoon in such a forest.

19 hours...Wow.

Raytrace does tax the processing, in Poser I've had complicated scenes that I left render for a week but then I have three computers just in the living room
Good looking rendering for your efforts and patients
