Hi everyone.  Apologies for my recent absence.

I am not able to use the PC much at all these days as I have developed a problem with my eyes (Dry Eye Syndrome). Right now my left eye is very blurry and if I use the computer for more than about 5 or 10 minutes my eyes both get blurry and quite painful - then a persistent headache follows.  Eye drops are of very limited benefit.  Annoyingly I get the same symptoms when reading a book and/or watching TV.  When this first started it was painful even to be outside in daylight.

I am getting treatment but I may be in this for the long haul.  Please, nobody post pessimistic comments like "I/my uncle/sister has Dry Eye Syndrome too and can't use a PC any more/it never got better/needed surgery" as I really don't need to hear any more bad news after a month of this already.

Anyway, as a result I won't be doing any 3D art for the foreseeable future.  I cannot put a date on when (if at all) I will be able to start again.  Until then (and, if this is the end) I hope that the 400+ deviations I posted here gave you some pleasure and/or inspiration.

I can't really keep up with email, notes or comments (for obvious reasons) but if anyone fancies staying in touch by Skype (there's nothing wrong with my voice/ears) then drop me a note.

I will post the result of the story competition soon - sorry that the winner won't be getting a commission any time soon for the reasons above.

Apologies for being so late in commenting your journal. I didn't noticed that before. I was just wondering why I haven't seen any new amazing artwork from you for so long, so I went to your page... and I now found out the why.

Take care of yourself, that's the most important thing, and don't be worried or afraid. I'd like to cite a sentence I heard in a movie (sometimes you find very deep thoughts even in a funny move): "Everything will be fine in the end. And if it is not yet fine, it means it is not yet the end".
